The condenser is responsible for reducing the temperature of refrigerant while still maintaining its high pressure. At this stage, the refrigerant changes from a gas to a liquid as it cools.<\/p>\n<h2>Compressor<\/h2>\n<p>Driven by the serpentine belt, the condenser acts as the power unit of the AC system. The dryer removes the water from refrigerant using a drying agent to avoid clogging the metering device.
